There are two levels of membership with the Free Range Pork Farmers Association:

Associate

Certified

Associate Membership

Associate members do not have to own any pigs, they just have to support our code of ethics and our Standard.  This level is for those thinking of free range pork production, just wanting information or simply wishing to support the Association.

This level of membership gives you access to the restricted member's area.  Here you will find articles by other members about their experiences, tips on pig diets, guides to dealing with butchers, abattoirs, transporting, marketing and every day aspects of free range farming.

There are forums for discussion were you can ask other members for information.  This level of membership is designed to help you make an easier transition into free range pork farming.

Associate membership does not entitle you to use the Association Logo and does not infer any accreditation is given.

Fee  $50.00 per year

Only applications for Associate Membership may be made online.

Once you have your free range piggery established and operating to the Association Standard, you may wish to move to the next stage, Certified Member.  

Application must be made to the Free Range Pork Farmers Association.

For this level of membership you are to meet the requirements of the FRPFA Quality Assurance Program set our below:

• A Licensing Agreement must be signed and lodged with the Association

• A Certified Membership Application is completed with payment attached

• You must read the Rules of the Certification

• You must become certified through Humane Choice and undergo an independent audit.

Although member's farms will be independently audited, the final decision on whether or not a farm will be accepted for certification rests with the Association.

Accredited Members are issued a Certificate of Certification and a Certification number once these requirements are met.

Fees  $880 per year

Your Accredited Membership will entitle you to:

• The use of the Association Logo
• The use of the Humane Choice Logo
• A free listing of your business on the Association's website
• Sales leads that are generated through this website
• The benefits of any advertising that the Association or Humane Choice employs to promote free range pork
• Access to the Members Area
• Access to advertising on this website

Application for Certified Membership can only be made by mail. Fees must be paid with your application.
